"AI dashboard generator" covers three different kinds of tool. A hosted analyst reads your data on its platform and answers there. A BI copilot works inside a BI tool you already pay for. A file generator builds the dashboard and hands it over. The table puts six of them side by side; DASH:Gen is the file generator and is one row, not the verdict.
| Tool | Kind | What goes in | What comes out | How to start |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Anomaly AI | Hosted analyst | Uploads and connectors: BigQuery, Excel, GA4, Snowflake, MySQL, Google Sheets | Analyses, shareable dashboards, scheduled reports; PDF, PowerPoint and Excel exports | Free plan (30 credits every 30 days); Pro from $25 a month |
| Julius AI | Hosted analyst | Files you upload and questions in chat | Analyses and charts on its platform | Free plan with a daily credit allowance; paid plans are credit-based and listed on its pricing page |
| Rows | AI spreadsheet | Integrations with marketing, analytics and database tools, and files | A spreadsheet with charts, shared or embedded | Free plan with 5 AI tasks a month; Plus $8 per user a month |
| Looker Studio with Gemini | BI copilot | Looker Studio data sources | Reports in Looker Studio, conversational analysis | Gemini features need a Looker Studio Pro subscription and an administrator enabling them |
| Copilot in Power BI | BI copilot | An existing Power BI semantic model | Summaries, answers, DAX, report pages inside Power BI | A paid Fabric capacity (F2 or higher) or Power BI Premium (P1 or higher) |
| DASH:Gen | File generator | One upload: CSV, Excel, OpenDocument, JSON, XML, Parquet, or a Superset dataset export | An HTML dashboard file, a Power BI project, or an Apache Superset import bundle | Without an account: three HTML dashboards a day; then see the price list |
Choosing by where the dashboard has to live
If the answer is "on the vendor's platform, refreshed on a schedule", a hosted analyst is built for it; see DASH:Gen and Anomaly AI for one comparison. If it is "inside the BI tool we already run", the copilot of that tool works on the live model; see a Power BI report without a Copilot capacity for what to do when there is no capacity. If it is "a file somebody opens", a generator is the shorter path: an HTML dashboard that works offline, or a Power BI or Apache Superset artifact.
Choosing by where your data goes
A hosted analyst keeps a copy of what it reads. A BI copilot works where the model already is. DASH:Gen keeps an upload for seven days and sends the language model only column names, types, statistics and a few sample values; which provider that is stands in the privacy notice. A Superset bundle built from a dataset export carries no rows at all.
What is not in the table
Tableau's AI features were left out: its pricing page could not be read on the date below, and a row built from second-hand figures would be exactly what this page tries not to be.

Questions
Which AI dashboard tool is the best?
The one whose output lives where your readers already are. A hosted analyst suits a team that works on its platform; a BI copilot suits a company with that BI tool and its capacity; a file generator suits a dashboard that has to be handed over.
Why are some prices missing?
A price appears only where the product's own page could be read on the date given. Where it could not, the row says so rather than repeating a figure from elsewhere.
How often is this page checked?
Every quarter. The date under the table is the last time each product's own page was read.
Try it without an account
Three HTML dashboards, one Power BI report and one Apache Superset bundle a day need no sign-up and no card. No file to hand? Pick Sales under the drop zone.
