Example

Delivery performance dashboard from a shipment export

A year of shipments across five carriers and six lanes: how many, how late, and what they cost, as one HTML file.

The example dashboard, live: filter it, click a bar, sort the table.

The sample is a shipment export of the kind a transport management system writes: one row per shipment with its dates, carrier, lane, weight and cost. The dashboard answers who delivers on time, on which lanes delays pile up, and where the freight money goes.

What the dashboard shows

Filter by lane or status in the bar at the top, or click a carrier in any chart.

Get it as Power BI or Apache Superset

The same export makes a Power BI project or an Apache Superset bundle. How the file's rows travel in each is in the Excel to Power BI guide.

The brief to start from

Shipments, late deliveries and freight cost by carrier and lane, with the trend by week.

Pick this sample in the window and this sentence is filled in for you. The agents design their own dashboard from it, so yours will differ in its details from the one above, which was assembled from the same file on the runtime every generated dashboard uses.

Questions

Why does the file carry a late column as well as the dates?

The dashboard computes nothing that is not in the file: it sums, counts and averages columns, but does not derive one date from another. A 0 or 1 column makes late deliveries a sum.

Can DASH:Gen build this from my transport management system export?

Yes, as CSV or Excel. Column names may differ; the agents read what each column holds and describe what they chose in the dashboard's notes.

Can I hand the dashboard to a carrier?

Yes, the file opens anywhere. Remember the rows are inside it: filter out what the carrier should not see before you send it, or build it from a smaller export.

Try it without an account

Three HTML dashboards, one Power BI report and one Apache Superset bundle a day need no sign-up and no card. No file to hand? Pick Sales under the drop zone.
